End of the week thoughts

We may earn money or products from the companies mentioned in this post.

Another week has flown by and it was a good one for me.  This journey into Affiliate Marketing has been challenging for me but what I am learning is that I really can learn to do new and technical things that I never thought I would be capable of.  Doesn’t mean my phone doesn’t frustrate me every so often, lol, but I can learn.   Maybe sharing my journey will help someone else along as well.  I am not saying it isn’t difficult, some of the information seems mind boggling at first, but if I just focus on the specific item being explained and not let my mind wander ahead, it eventually comes together.  I may have to review the videos, or parts of them a few times, but it happens.  I realize that part of ‘my’ issue is the focus, my mind does tend to wander just a little, but this last week has been super productive.   Another conclusion I have come to, while I did join this program to make money, I am learning that the process is just as worthwhile as the money.  The amazing feeling I get when I create an ‘optin’ page and it works!  Or that I can actually figure out where to go and look for things that just a few short weeks ago would have confused me.  What a confidence boost! Now I just want to learn more so I can do more.  I get up early and actually look forward to spending some time going over the tutorials provided and going over the different things that I have entered or edited, etc. , just to see if I actually understood and for the most part, YES!  It also gives me a chance to figure out what wasn’t so clear and if I can’t figure it out, I know I will get whatever help I need to get me there.  So important to have the access to quality help and resources.  It makes all the difference.  Pretty incredible.  The money will happen eventually, but right now, this journey for me is worth every bit of time I spend learning.  So much so in fact, that most of the time I forget about making any money.  I know that it will happen.

Well, it is late for me and it has been a long day, really good one, so I am headed to dreamland.  I hope everyone has an amazing weekend!

Talk to you’ll soon!

Kae

  • I love the idea that you’re focused on learning and enjoying the journey rather than the destination knowing that in time you will achieve what you desire.

I have some experience in online marketing and agree 100% that the quality of a mentor/ coach is as important as what you learn.

    • Thak you for your comment! Ran into a little roadblock a few minutes ago, so working through that and may need to send in a request for help, but I will fool around with it a little longer before I throw in the towel. I do enjoy it for the most part and know it will come together if I just keep moving forward, no matter how slowly. Thanks again for taking the time to comment!

  • Nice. Most people want the results but aren’t willing to do the work. So when we get satisfaction and even enjoy the process there’s not much that can stop us. When we can do that, we’ll stick to it and do the work that leads to the results.

    • Thanks Nathan, it is certainly a process and for the most part enjoyable, with scattered moments of frustration. I do believe it will come together. Again, thank you for your input!

I love how authentic and honest this blog post was. I also felt your enthusiasm for doing the work involved. I needed to read your post because I needed to remind myself that I can have fun with the process of getting my online business up and running, and it doesn’t have to just be hard work, it can be exhilarating to do new things that you never even knew you could do! I needed that reminder, so thank you!!

    Warm regards,
    Stephanie

  • Kae, I also atest to the accomplishment of creating an optin page that does work giving an amazing feeling. Well done!

And you bring up and important point. A lot of people can get through a training and follow the steps. But it appears obvious that you know the value of review – to make sure the new concepts have sunk in.

  • I am experiencing what you describe here, as well. What is mind blowing for me is the capability of the Affiliate System. Will we ever use it to its true capacity? That’s the challenge and the intention I personally have.
