In The Beginning

So, many years ago, maybe 15 or so, I became interested in online marketing.  It looked kind of fun and was billed as the best way to earn a generous income with little effort.  It sounded like a dream come true and I was ready for mine to happen.    I read what I could, looked into different sites and thought I had found the one for me.

Very quickly, I purchased an email list (I had read the money is in the list) of 3000 emails as I was told to do this for a bargain price of $3,500.00.  I was so excited and got to work.  Very soon I realized that about 99 percent of these emails were not real.  I questioned this and was told, don’t worry, it will work out, just work it anyway.   It did not work out.  How could they do this to me?  I was devastated.  The money was a big deal as well, as now there was no chance of me ever making a recovery on this.  I put this away thinking I should have known better and I got what I deserved.

That said, I kept seeing all of the adverts on affiliate marketing from almost every vendor on Facebook, Instagram, etc.  and thought it must work at some point or why would they keep posting this, right?!   What was I missing?  Still, once bitten, twice shy…

Add to that, I am the most unlikely person to do or sell anything on the internet!  My smart phone humiliates be daily and I am always asking a grandson or coworker how to do or find something either on my phone or computer.   Am I about to set myself up for another spectacular fail or…?

Still, I could see the potential and figured I could get this done, I just had to find the ‘right’ place for me.

I believe that I have found it and have begun the journey.  It has been a big challenge for me so far, but I am making decent progress, as evidenced by this ‘blog’ being here.  This is HUGE for me!  And I am pretty darned stoked about it!  Having the support of Dean Holland and his most excellent team has been amazing and productive.

To a lot of folks, all of this ‘stuff’ is probably ‘easy peasy’, but to me, it is like being sent to a foreign country, with no friends and not speaking the language.  Truly terrifying but I am determined,

So far, so good.  I have knowledgeable friends that help me ‘speak’ the language step by step, and I am not alone in this process.  I am learning how to maneuver around in my program.  I believe I am headed in the right direction.  I will share all my adventures as I go along!

Now, all I have to do is ‘Publish’ this…
